The
Wine Lodge started life as a rural homeplace in the 1860’s
in the Yadkin Valley. It became the Coe Family home place in 1896.
Granny Ardella farmed small fields of tobacco and paid off the $900.00
debt against the farm which paved the way for generations later to
have the Wine Lodge available for people to enjoy.
We renovated
the Wine Lodge in early 2007 and documented the process extensively
in photographs. Click on the photo albums below to see the process.
